New Album Sharing Space Debuts # 2 ARIA Chart
Born from an epic, and at times, frustrating, recording experience that involved almost 12 months of solitude from the lives they knew here in Australia, in a small Californian town called Weed, Sharing Space is fast proving to be a worthwhile labour of love for Cog, debuting at # 2 on the national ARIA Chart this week, the highest chart position for the band to date.
With a Triple J Feature Album under their belt, two singles on high rotation on radio networks around the country and an up coming national tour that is close to selling out, Cog have arrived home, and their fans are showing them the love.
With their startling 2005 debut The New Normal and its clutch of ready-made anthems, Cog crafted an album that single-handedly projected them to the top of their genre and set the benchmark for all alternative heavy rock acts in Australia to come. Sharing Space has blown that bench mark out of the water in its first week on the shelves.
Cog will be touring nationally, kicking off with a special appearance in Collie WA, for the Triple J On Night Stand. They will be joined on the road with special guests from NZ, Kora and Jakob.
