The Drones Enter The Studio For Album #4

Article Image:

Currently holed up in a mud brick house somewhere in the mountains outside of Myrtleford, Victoria, The Drones are laying down tracks for what is to become their fourth studio LP, due in stores in September 2008, on ATP recordings.

The house, which is set deep in the forested foothills of Mt Buffalo, has a history dating back to the gold rush era of the 1860's. By the 1870's, however, the entire area was abandoned and to this day only a handful of farmers and The Drones inhabit the area.

This will be the follow up to their AMP Award nominated Gala Mill (2006) and AMP Award winning LP Wait Long By The River And The Bodies Of Your Enemies Will Float By (2005).  The new record will be produced by The Drones and Burke Reid (The Mess Hall, Gerling), who is also engineering the affair.

The Drones will be touring nationally in October 2008, to support the release of the record, dates to be announced.
